Lars-Gunnar Nilsson has been appointed CEO of PMC Hydraulics Group, giving the Dacke Industri-owned hydraulics business a new operating leader as Mikael Lundgren moves into a chairman role.
The appointment took effect on August 24, 2026. Nilsson succeeds Lundgren, who will step down from the operational CEO role at PMC Hydraulics Group.
Lundgren will remain close to the company as Chairman of the Board of PMC Hydraulics Group, while continuing as President Power and Motion at Dacke Industri.
The transition separates day-to-day operational leadership at PMC Hydraulics from Dacke Industri’s wider Power and Motion division role, while keeping Lundgren involved in the company’s long-term direction.
Lars-Gunnar Nilsson Takes PMC Hydraulics CEO Role
Nilsson brings more than 25 years of experience leading international industrial companies, with a focus on engineering, manufacturing, system solutions and global OEM customers.
Dacke Industri said Nilsson drove profitable growth, business transformation, operational improvements and international expansion across multiple markets.
Most recently, Nilsson served as President and CEO of PanLink, where he led a multi-site European organization serving customers in rail, industrial automation and electrification.
His previous leadership roles include Textron GSE, Safeaero and PartnerTech, giving him experience in industrial operations, customer-focused business development and leading organizations through change and growth.
“I am excited to join PMC Hydraulics Group and to have the opportunity to lead the company into its next phase of development,” Nilsson said.
“PMC Hydraulics has a strong position, with deep technical expertise, committed people and long-standing customer relationships across attractive markets,” he said.
Nilsson said he looks forward to working with the organization to build on those strengths, develop the customer offering and create sustainable, profitable growth.
Mikael Lundgren Moves to Chairman of PMC Hydraulics
After several years as CEO of PMC Hydraulics Group, Mikael Lundgren will move from the operational role to chairman of the board.
The move allows Lundgren to remain involved with PMC Hydraulics while continuing his broader Dacke Industri role as President Power and Motion.
“I am very pleased to welcome Lars-Gunnar to PMC Hydraulics Group,” Lundgren said.
“His industrial experience, international perspective and background in business and organisational development make him well suited to lead the company forward. I am confident that he will continue the company’s development and support its long-term growth,” he said.
PMC Hydraulics Serves Industrial, Energy, Mobile and Marine Markets
PMC Hydraulics Group supplies hydraulic systems and components to customers in the industrial, energy, mobile and marine sectors.
The company provides advanced hydraulic solutions, system expertise and components from leading manufacturers. Its work helps customers optimize the performance of products, processes and production.
PMC Hydraulics operates across the Nordic region, Poland, China and India, combining international expertise with local market presence.
Nilsson’s appointment gives PMC Hydraulics a new CEO with international industrial leadership experience as the company enters its next development phase.
Dacke Industri Continues Power and Motion Development
Dacke Industri is a long-term owner that invests in technology companies in selected industrial niches.
The group follows a decentralised model, where subsidiaries have a high degree of autonomy while receiving strategic guidance and development support.
Dacke Industri is owned by Nordstjernan. The group said it has 35 subsidiaries across four divisions, about 2,000 employees worldwide, and net sales of SEK 5 billion.
The appointment of Lars-Gunnar Nilsson at PMC Hydraulics Group adds another leadership milestone inside Dacke Industri’s Power and Motion portfolio.
